How to clean an essential oil diffuser

To avoid mold and bacteria growth and keep your diffuser working as it should, remember to clean it regularly! Proper maintenance of your diffuser will ensure it continues to produce a lovely scent and you can continue to reap the aromatic benefits of your essential oils.

How Often to Clean

Ideally, after each time you use your diffuser, especially when switching scents, dump any standing water and rinse it out. Then, give your diffuser a thorough cleaning at least every two weeks to remove any build-up.

How to Clean

Start by taking apart your diffuser and thoroughly rinsing out the reservoir. Add a drop of lemon essential oil, which will disinfect and sanitize. Wipe out the main reservoir with a paper towel and use a q-tip for any hard-to-reach places.

Once your diffuser is thoroughly cleaned, continue to diffuse as normal!
