How to properly dilute essential oils for kids

Essential oils should always be diluted when applying them topically.

This helps your skin absorb the essential oil better, instead of the oil evaporating off your skin right away.

Dilution is extra essential oil for children and toddlers too!

Never use essential oils with infants younger than 3 months, not all essential oils are safe for babies. Check label & consult pediatrician before using oils. Children should not consume oils internally.


  • 3 - 24 months: .25%-.5% (1-2 drops essential oil per 10ml roller bottle)

  • 2 - 6 years: 1-2% (4-8 drops essential oil per 10ml roller bottle)

  • 6-15 years: 2%-3% (8-12 drops essential oil per 10ml roller bottle)

  • 15+ years: 3%-5% (12-20 drops essential oil per 10ml roller bottle)
