DIY Hair Growth Serum and Spray
Whether you’re trying to grow out a bad haircut, recover from post-covid hair loss, or just want to grow long and luscious locks, here are a few quick and simple DIYs to encourage growth and keep your hair healthy and strong.
DIY Hair Growth Tea
This simple DIY combines some of the top hair-supporting herbs in a simple spray that doubles as a refresh between washes!
Clove - Antioxidant-rich to reduce early graying and keep hair shiny and strong.
Rosemary - Stimulates the scalp to promote new hair growth and reduces dandruff by nourishing the scalp.
Peppermint - Stimulates the scalp to encourage new hair growth and gives you a quick energy boost when massaged into the scalp.
What you’ll need
1tsp clove bud
1tsp rosemary
1tsp peppermint
How to
Combine all herbs in a pot with 1 cup water and bring to a boil.
Strain the tea, let it cool, and pour it into a spray bottle.
Spray on damp hair after each wash and gently massage into the scalp.
DIY Hair Growth Serum
For ultra-nourishing hair treatment, I use this hair growth serum on hair washing days (about 2-3x per week!)
It combines some of our favorites for hair growth - peppermint and rosemary, with clary sage to improve hair strength and castor oil for extra nourishment.
What you’ll need
5 drops rosemary oil
5 drops peppermint oil
5 drops clary sage oil
1 oz castor oil
How to
Combine all ingredients in a 1 oz dropper bottle.
Apply directly to the scalp and gently massage.
Let it sit for 30 minutes, and shampoo hair as normal.
Bonus tip - Add a drop of rosemary or peppermint oil to the pool of shampoo in your hand and lather through your hair. Be careful not to get oils in your eyes.
Essential Oil Safety
