DIY bath bombs
This is the exact recipe I use for the bath bombs in my shop, which I’ve been told are the BEST bath bombs to use for hydrating and nourishing your skin.
They’re 100% all natural and nontoxic, making them safe for kids to use.
Zero fillers, zero synthetic fragrances, and zero dyes.
This recipe will take about 45 minutes from start to finish and make about 10 bath bombs (depending on the size).
Ingredients:
1 C Citric Acid
1 C Baking Soda
½ C Corn Starch
Essential Oil - Lavender is my favorite!
Instructions:
Combine dry ingredients in a large bowl, putting them through a strainer.
Add fractionated coconut oil.
Stir with a rubber spatula until the mixture has the consistency of sugar cookie batter.
Press mixture into bath bomb mold, and leave on a cookie sheet to harden.
Repeat until all the mixture is pressed into bath bombs.
Add 2-3 drops of essential oil onto each bath bomb.
Cover and allow bath bombs to sit overnight before moving them to a separate container.
Store in a cool, dry place.
Drop one bath bomb in the tub and allow it to fizz until completely dissolved.
Bath bombs are 100% non toxic, but may be uncomfortable if ingredients get in eyes - adult supervision is necessary while using bath bombs with children.
If a bath bomb DIY isn’t your jam, buy bath bombs here.
You’re worth it.
