10 uses for lavender oil

Lavender, ahh the calming flowery essential oil. 

Lavender oil is the most popular oil for its relaxing and calming properties - but there’s so much more this oil can do. Here are 10 uses for lavender oil:


Sleep

  • Dilute 2 drops of lavender with 1 tsp of a carrier oil and massage on the bottoms of feet. 

  • Diffuse 5-8 drops in the diffuser before bedtime.

Stressful feelings

  • Start your day with diluting 2 drops of lavender with 1 tsp of a carrier oil and massage on the bottoms of your feet. 

  • Make a DIY roller bottle with lavender and roll on wrists and neck throughout the day.

  • Diffuse 5-8 drops of lavender in a diffuser during the day.

  • Create a mini diffuser by putting one drop of lavender in the palm of your hand, rub hands together, cup hands over mouth and nose and take a deep breath in.


Sunburn

  • Add one drop of lavender to an all natural aloe gel and apply over sunburn as needed.


Nose bleed

  • Dilute 1 drop of lavender with 1 tsp of a carrier oil and massage over the nose. 


Scars

  • Dilute 1-2 drops of lavender with 1 tsp of a carrier oil and apply over scars daily. Option: Combine with Frankincense Oil for extra skin benefits. 


Blisters

  • Dilute 1-2 drops of lavender with 1 tsp of a carrier oil and apply gently to blisters


Head tension

  • Using a lavender roller bottle, roll over temples. 

  • Add one drop to the palm of hand, rub hands together, cup hands over nose and mouth and take a deep breath in. 


Seasonal Allergies

  • Combine 8 drops of lavender with 8 drops of lemon and peppermint in a 10 ml roller bottle, roll over pulse points during allergy season. 

  • Diffuse 3-4 drops of lavender, lemon, and peppermint throughout the day. 

  • Dilute 2 drops of lavender, lemon, and peppermint with 2 tsp of a carrier oil and massage on the bottoms of feet.


Rosacea

  • Add one drop of lavender oil to your daily moisturizer. 


May reduce high blood pressure

  • Dilute 1-2 drops with a carrier oil and massage on the bottoms of feet daily. 

  • Using a roller bottle, roll lavender over pulse points throughout the day. 

  • Diffuser 5-8 drops of lavender during the day.
