Essential Oils for a *Spicy* Valentines Day

Valentine's Day is just around the corner and this year, we’re making it spicy with some essential oils - DIY massage oil anyone?

I’m talking as if I’m not in a long distance relationship right now, I’ll be having a Galentine's Day with my bestie, ordering take out and playing Wii Tennis. And if your valentine's day will look like mine, I’m cheersin’ my non-alcoholic wine to you! Valentine’s is about self love.

And if you’re in a romantic relationship and valentine's day is all about the dinner, roses, chocolates, and spicy time - I am here for you and here to show ya how you can use essential oils to make your spicy time even spicier!

Here are five essential oils that can help spice things up and get you and your partner in the mood.

  1. Ylang ylang - a sweet, floral and erotic scent that is irresistible when blended with Geranium. Diffuse 3 drops of ylang ylang with 2 drops of geranium in water.

  2. Rose - not only a sensual and romantic scent, but rose essential oil is also known to be a relaxant, perfect for setting the mood. This is best diffused or worn on your wrists and neck.

  3. Cinnamon - a warming oil that supports circulation and libido. Keep in mind, this oil is hot (and not in a good way), dilute a bit extra when applying topically and avoid contact with eyes and sensitive areas.

  4. Clary Sage - a hormone-balancing oil that brings clarity and relieves nervous tension, perfect for diffusing.

  5. Cypress - an earthy aroma that helps boost blood flow and is great for massage oils.

Note that essential oils should be diluted to prevent skin irritations and should not be applied to the genital area. Download that essential oil dilution chart here

I hope you have an amazing Valentine’s Day! <3

XO,

Liv
