How to Know Your Essential Oils are Pure
Many essential oils are labeled as pure or 100% natural, but this isn’t always the case.
Essential oils aren’t regulated, so it’s important to do your research to find out if the essential oils you’re using in your home and on your body are truly top quality.
I recently visited the headquarters of one of my favorite essential oil brands, Guru Nanda, in LA. I had the opportunity to meet their CEO, Puneet Nanda, and learn more about their quality standards and what sets them apart!
Farm to Bottle
All Guru Nanda essential oils are farm to bottle. They’re natural and sustainably harvested from the highest quality, pesticide-free farms in each plant’s native environment. They source their oils directly from their Global Farm Alliance without the need for middlemen. This Alliance is a network of farmers around the world who Puneet has built strong friendships with. Because Puneet knows the farmers directly, he can guarantee that they grow their plants from non-GMO seeds without pesticides or chemicals. Because they don’t require a middleman, they’re also able to pay their farmers more money directly.
Third-Party Tested
When searching for new essential oils or telling others what to look for, I always recommend choosing a brand that utilizes third-party testing. Puneet shared how they utilize an in-house GC-MS testing machine to ensure quality and a third-party testing facility used by top companies like Doterra and Young Living. This ensures that the quality of their essential oils matches or exceeds other companies.
Guru Nanda’s commitment is threefold: authenticity, quality, and good karma.
They believe essential oils should be fairly priced so more people can access their healing quality. That’s why Guru Nanda’s essential oils are much cheaper than other top brands, and you can even find them at your local Walmart!
