Tips for staying well this fall
As the weather cools down, you spend more time inside, and sickness can spread easily. Here are a few things you can do to support your immune system and help your body stay well before sickness strikes!
Defender Essential Oil
Defender is an oil that I always have on hand during the fall and winter months. Not only does it smell cozy and delicious, but it’s a must-have oil for staying well. Defender is a blend of Cinnamon (leaf), Rosemary, Lemon, Eucalyptus, and Clove (bud) essential oils. All of these oils are powerful for killing germs and boosting immunity.
Diffuse Defender around your home and rub on the bottoms of your feet for a daily immune boost!
Stay Hydrated
Water helps to oxygenate your blood and flush toxins. Staying hydrated impacts your overall health and wellbeing by limiting stress and ensuring your body can function as it should. When your body is functioning as it should, your immune system can do its job!
Reduce Stress
Stress can play a role in how your body functions. When you are stressed, your body is too. Reducing stress can have a profound impact on your health, especially on your immune system.
Taking a walk, journaling, limiting the use of screens, drinking calming tea, or diffusing calming oils like lavender, frankincense, or chamomile, can all help to reduce daily stressors.
Implementing daily de-stressing practices can ensure less stress mentally and physically.
Eat Immune System Boosting Foods
Feeding your body immune-supporting food can help keep your immune system strong. Incorporating more plants and less processed foods will always have a positive impact. Here are a few of my favorite foods that have especially immune-boosting nutrients...
Citrus fruits
Red bell peppers
Broccoli
Garlic
Ginger
Spinach
Yogurt
Almonds
Sunflower seeds
Turmeric
Green tea
Papaya
Kiwi
