Top Essential Oils You Need This Allergy Season

The trees are blooming and allergy season is here. Have you noticed the pollen film on your car yet? This always happens in the spring and summer months in PA!

Over the counter allergy medications can help, but can also come with side effects. I remember getting crazy nose bleeds as a kid from my allergy medication.

If you’re looking for a natural way to manage your seasonal allergies, look no further - I gotchu girl.

Here are 4 essential oils, a DIY recipe,  and a diffuser blend that can keep your allergies managed!

Peppermint Oil: Peppermint oil has been shown to have anti-inflammatory and antihistamine properties, making it an effective remedy for allergy symptoms. You can add a few drops of peppermint oil to a carrier oil such as coconut oil and apply it to your temples and forehead to relieve sinus pressure and headaches.

Lemon Oil: Lemon oil has natural antihistamine properties and is effective in reducing allergy symptoms. You can add a few drops of lemon oil to a diffuser and inhale it throughout the day to reduce inflammation and congestion.

Lavender Oil: Lavender oil is well known for its calming properties, but it can also be effective in reducing allergy symptoms. Lavender oil can be added to a carrier oil and applied to the chest or diffused in your home to reduce inflammation and ease breathing. Lavender oil can also be added to a warm bath with a carrier oil to promote relaxation and soothe allergy symptoms.

Eucalyptus Oil: Eucalyptus oil has natural decongestant properties and can be effective in reducing sinus inflammation and clearing the airways. You can add a few drops of eucalyptus oil to a bowl of hot water and inhale the steam to reduce congestion. Eucalyptus oil can also be added to a carrier oil and applied topically to relieve sinus pressure.

When using essential oils for allergies, it is important to choose high-quality oils and dilute them with a carrier oil before applying them to the skin.
