DIY Ginger + Turmeric Wellness Shots

Every week, I’d buy wellness shots but they were pricey so I thought I’d try to make my own!

Recipe:

  • 4 Oranges

  • Chunk of ginger

  • Handful of turmeric

  • 1 Lime

  • Pinch of pepper

Benefits of each ingredient:

  1. Ginger: Ginger contains compounds called gingerols and shogaols, which have anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. It may help with digestive issues such as nausea, bloating, and constipation, and may also help lower cholesterol levels and reduce the risk of heart disease.

  2. Turmeric: Turmeric contains a powerful compound called curcumin, which has strong anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. It may help with a variety of conditions, including arthritis, depression, and skin problems, and may also help improve brain function.

  3. Lime: Limes are high in vitamin C, which is important for immune system function and skin health. They also contain flavonoids, which have antioxidant properties and may help protect against chronic diseases like cancer and heart disease.

  4. Oranges: Oranges are also high in vitamin C, as well as other nutrients like folate and potassium. They may help improve heart health, lower inflammation, and support immune system function.

Store in a sealed container in the fridge up to a week. I like to take a “shot” everyday!
