Reach your goals in 5 seconds

Six months ago I thought the “5 second rule” meant that you can still eat food off the floor if it was on the floor for less than 5 seconds.

Today, that phrase has a whole new meaning, an upgrade to the meaning if you will.

Let me start with, this is not my original idea - Mel Robbins is the original creator and is a genius for creating such a simple method to help people tackle BIG things.

This rule has helped people earn promotions, wake up earlier, create a fitness routine, become sober, this is GAME CHANGER.

It takes our brains 5 seconds to talk us out of doing something uncomfortable. Working out, waking up early, putting down that 3rd glass of wine, etc.

Here’s how you practice it:

  • Write your goal down, declare this as something you are doing. Let’s use waking up at 5 am as the example.

  • Prepare for any obstacles that might get in your way. Go to sleep earlier, pick out your outfit the night before, reduce distractions, etc.

  • When your alarm goes off at 5 am, count backwards from 5 - 5,4,3,2,1 and get out of bed. Don’t allow yourself to think how comfy and warm your bed is, your to-do list, or that you still feel sleepy.

The 5 second rule can be applied to ANYTHING in your life, learn more about it and hear about countless success stories in Mel Robbins book, The 5 Second Rule. (I’m not a paid advertiser, just a happy customer who wants to see other people reach the best version of themselves).

Do it for you, you’re worth it.

XO,

Liv
